Are School Fees in Abu Dhabi for GIIS Very High? Is There any Sibling Discount?

 


 

The fee of International schools in Abu Dhabi may seem high, but it is justified by the educational

standards offered by them. Schools like the Global Indian International School offers a 

competitive fee to the students. School fee in Abu Dhabi for the GIIS  depends on which 

grade the student is in. 


For the latest academic year - 2019 to 2020, the school fee in GIIS Abu Dhabi  is as follows:

 

The Kindergarten school fee in Abu Dhabi is AED 10,600. This includes both KG1 and KG2. 

As the Grade increases, the amount of fee also increases. For Grade 1, it is AED 10,910. For 

Grade 2 it if AED 11,110. AED 11,230 for Grade 3 and AED 11,520 for Grade 4. Grade 5 

and Grade 6 have AED 11,730 and AED 11,940 fee respectively.

 

From Grade 8, the school fee in Abu Dhabi for GIIS crosses the AED 12,000 mark with AED 

12,140 for Grade 8. Grade 9 and Grade 10 cost around AED 12,350.

 

There are many additional costs apart from this fee. For instance, the books can cost an additional 

AED 600 for the Kindergarten students and around AED 750 from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The 

School uniform costs around AED 730 and as the students are growing every year, a new 

uniform is required in every Grade. The school fee may change over time and you should

All students get sibling discount on tuition fees. Each younger sibling of a student is entitled to 

10%off the tuition fee. 

 

The school offers several scholarships for the deserving students. These scholarships are the best

  1. Zayed - Gandhi Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

     

Celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 100th Birth anniversary 

of H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the GIIS has commemorated this scholarship 

for the students. The scholarship is provided to the students of Grade 5 to Grade 12. 

Students facing difficulty in paying the school fee of Abu Dhabi can avail this scholarship. 

 

The following criteria must be met:

 

1. The student should be a UAE Resident with residency documents such as Emirates 

ID.

2. The family income of the student should be moderate

3. The Academic record of the student is also required.

4. The student has to provide the documents for family income such as the Ministry 

of Labour approved job Contract copies.

After the submission of the documents, the scholarship is granted on the basis of family 

income and academic record. The validity for the scholarship is one year which is 

reviewed every year with a condition that the student meets the requirements.

 

2. GLOBAL CITIZEN SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available for the students of Grade 11. It is purely based on the merit 

in which the scores of the CBSE exam achieved by the students in the 10th Grade are
